The Beach

Yesterday my mom, her friend Sheri and I woke up around seven in the morning to get ready for the beach. It took a while for us to get on the road because we had to double check and make sure we had sunscreen, chairs, towels, snacks, etc. We had just gotten out of our town when we realized we had forgotten our umbrella so after we picked up Zach which was a half hour ride, we stopped at a Walgreens. Or was it a CVS, no I believe it was a Walgreens. Anyway, the umbrella was all different bright colors, quite nice in my opinion. The rest of the ride we listened to music, and mumbled the words to the music in anticipation of arriving at the beach. When we were about ten minutes from the beach we could see huge grey clouds forming above us and it began to rain but stopped right when we parked at the beach. We grabbed everything and started walking in the sand. We stumbled, atleast I did, it was hard carrying so much and walking in damp lumpy sand. We set down the chairs and stared at the water for a moment then decided to move our chairs closer. Sheri was the first in the water and then Zach and me. It was very warm but I totally regretted shaving my legs the day before, it burned so bad in the salty water. Zach and I were joking around about being attacked by a shark and had only been in the ocean for maybe ten minutes when the life gaurd started blowing his whistle and waving a red flag. Everyone swam real fast out of the water and we all felt rain drizzling on us. So my crew and I picked up all of our belongings and went to the car to put everything in there until the rain stopped. It started pouring on us so we ran into a nearby restaurant and ordered some very delicious food. I had a philly cheese steak sandwich which was extremely huge but tasted great.
Once the rain finally stopped and blue skies were right above us we headed back down the beach with everything and swam in the water for hours and hours. And yes, I am quite sunburned.

Exception

This is all happening too fast,
the way you're always on my mind.
How it's just been a week, but that's all I needed.

You have a way with words,
you're real.
Unlike the boys who just play this game called love.

It has to end sometime, right?
No one wins, no one loses.
Just two players, who quit to be together.

Or do they tie?
I don't know,
but maybe I will soon.

By this point my black mascara has smudged around my eyes,
I have the full raccoon effect,
I'm just sitting here in the dark...

In complete fear,
that I will lose you.
Are you even mine to be lost?

It's high school,
nothing lasts right?

Could we be the exception?

Last Day of Camp

Today Deann brought her daughter Olivia, son Rocco and his friend Jojo to the football camp. Jojo is about eight years old I believe, and he had a crazy crush on me. Me being fifteen, obviously it wasn't gonna work out! He was absolutely adorable though, all three of them were very hyper and I was totally worn out by the end of the day. Deann even wanted me to babysit, I said I'd love to. I've taken so my pictures in the last three days, over two thousand. That camera was incredible, the clearity was amazing and the zoom was fantastic. So jealous!
Zachary is going to teach my all of the fancy swim, uhm, strokes? Moves? Not sure what they're called, but he's finally succeeded at convincing me to join the swim team at my high school. It's a fall sport and since cross country was cancled and track is a spring sport I might as well do it to stay in shape and hang out with the best friend.

Day Two of Football Camp

Today is the third day of summer, the second day of Anthony Becht's football camp and one of the hottest days this year. To help out and sign autographs at  football camp were Kevin Carter and Mike Clayton. Before the lunch break, I set up the tripod and propped up Deann's huge camera and I must've hit a button because when they were all in line ready for their pictures the camera wouldn't work. And a little boy kept yelling "Someone broke the camera!" and oh boy it was the longest ten minutes of my entire life. The pressure, the heat and sun blaring in my eyes, all of the stares and sweat blotching up on my face. The camera was on but it wouldn't take a picture, so everyone went to lunch while I stayed outside figuring out what was wrong. Eventually I fixed it, after checking all of the settings until it worked again. I'm still not positive what button I hit but luckilly we all just laughed it off.
At the end of the camp, we all got italian ices, they were exactly what we needed. Can't wait 'till tomorrow, the last day of football camp.

the sunset

Summer Vacation has begun.

Today is only the second day of my summer vacation, you know how I spent it? Volunteering at the Anthony Becht football camp at my high school. Just in case you don't know, I'm a girl so let's just say it was slightly awkward, being the only girl there and all. At first I thought it would be really boring, being in the concession stand from nine until three, but it wasn't. I was introduced to Anthony Becht's wife and she is a total sweetheart, we talked and I took pictures of the boys learning football when she took out her huge (very expensive) camera and lent it to me for the entire day. It was the perfect time to practice my photography techniques and familiarizing myself with some of the different settings. At the end of the day when I gave Deann her camera back, she was so thankful and Anthony said he'd like me to take pictures of him and all of the players tomorrow. I'm very excited, almost nervous though, it's quite intimidating. Wish me good luck?
Hopefully my best friend Zach will come with me tomorrow, we'd totally have an amazing time. I just gotta convince him to wake up. Let's just say he's not a morning person.
